MeCoSim Releases

An important change has been introduced in MeCoSim, enabling the users to forget about downloading and installing new releases.

This version is available through the button "Launch" showed in the overview page and in the main page of MeCoSim web site.

Once installed thrugh Launch button, no more installations of MeCoSim will be needed.

The current version also includes a new functionality to manage repositories of plugins, to enable different developers of the community to make available their own auto-updatable plugins, been available for all MeCoSim users.

This version extends the mechanism to generate parameters from the input tables, such a way that it can be generated from the output tables in a transparent way for the end user.
A parallel mechanism to generate text parameters have been also included. These parameters are not being used to complement the P-Lingua model, but can be passed to any plugin, as can be seen in Graphs plugin.

In addition, the Save and Save As functionalities have been modified to include the saving of the output tables (if set in the config file).

These functionalities have made available in the current version of MeCoSim.

• Development of different options to generate numeric graphs from the number of vertices or from a list of edges, text graphs from a list of text edges, or a tree of graphs or trees, showing a number of graphs per step and membrane)

• MeCoSim Basics plugin. (Minor changes)

A new version of MeCoSim have made available, including changes in the simulation engine (pLinguaCore) for simple kernel P systems.

It also includes some general mechanism (that is going to be improved) to enable run "external simulators" integrated in MeCoSim, that is, from the same models and input tables, and with the mechanism for showing output tables and charts, but running the whole computation in the simulator, returning a simple text file to MeCoSim.

Some additional changes have been introduced to refactor some old mentions to "years". All of them have been renamed to "cycles".
This last change affects to the Promela Plugin, so we encourage the users of that plugin to download the last version of it.

A new version of MeCoSim have made available, including changes in the simulation engine (pLinguaCore) for simple kernel P systems.
It also includes some new predefined functions for the translation of parameters from the input tables.
These changes are available in the current version of MeCoSim.

This change affects to the Promela Plugin, so we encourage the users of that plugin to download the last version of it.

A big number of URLs have been fixed in project site of MeCoSim, due to the update of the version of Redmine, producing changes over the structure of the URLs, specially in DMSF folder references in issues and news.
